Safety - Are You Serious?

This speed trap van was seen parked across the pavement on Beddington Lane in Sutton.  If you or I were to park an inch of tyre on any kerb in Sutton, or anywhere else, we would receive a parking ticket and a fine.

It's ok though because when the police are bashing out speeding fines to prop up the government's finances all the rules just go out the window.  If you have been prosecuted for speeding on Beddington Lane you might want to seek advice as to the question of the validity of the speeding ticket due to the circumstances in which the evidence was obtained.  NEWSFLASH - If you have been prosecuted for speeding on Beddington Lane before 1st July 2005 contact this website NOW!   We have important information.

Update 08-07-2006  If you have been prosecuted for speeding on Beddington Lane was it because of the incorrect 40 mph signs at the junction of  the Croydon Road? Beddington lane has a 30 mph speed limit and this was reported to Merton Council and the police in June 2005, but the signs were not replaced until December 2005.

More will follow.
